January 2011

We've literally got hundreds of new fans through Jango radio: Welcome y'all!

Many new songs are waiting to be recorded so let's get into that studio and work. Lately our musical activity consisted mainly out of songwriting (Aggie) and every now and then singing with Ankie (Keultjes)again, for fun. Stephan has toured through Germany with Bots and started a new and exciting musical adventure: Quick Draw, a soul/jazz/blues/funk-inspired trio with Mike Roelofs on Hammond organ and drummer Sjoerd van Bommel.

Aggieland can be heared live on stage again, starting this month.

The last six months we've had a lot of technical problems in the studio. They've all been solved now (knock on wood!) and believe me, it's a relieve as well as a pleasure to be able to put all our energy in the recording of songs for our next album.

What else is new, apart from the lines in the newspaper about the soon to come and inevitable end of the glow-bulb, longtime symbol of Aggie's hometown Eindhoven?

We take a short break in recording, because the NOPO-studio is changing recordingstuff. We'll be back in action soon! Meanwhile, violin player and singer Marieke van Ooy has joined the Aggieland gang.
