We've literally got hundreds of new fans through Jango radio: Welcome y'all!
Many new songs are waiting to be recorded so let's get into that studio and work. Lately our musical activity consisted mainly out of songwriting (Aggie) and every now and then singing with Ankie (Keultjes)again, for fun. Stephan has toured through Germany with Bots and started a new and exciting musical adventure: Quick Draw, a soul/jazz/blues/funk-inspired trio with Mike Roelofs on Hammond organ and drummer Sjoerd van Bommel.

The Aggieland clip can also can be seen now on RTV-Utrecht and RTV-Drenthe, as well as on this site and on youtube.com. It's a bit odd now the summer sun is still warming us, to watch the images that were shot on a North Sea beach where an ice cold northern wind was freezing our noses off.

January 2004
It's freezing cold in the basement, where the studio's drums are situated. Drummer Van der Meijden doesn't even complain about it once. His hands warmed by black gloves, he plays his part, smoothly and with a good sense for details on Once Upon and some other songs.

In the meanwhile Stephan has mixed Working wonders and it sounds beautiful. So, why not record the other songs in that way too? There's no stopping us now!
A plan is made for every song. Apart from the recording sessions, the two from that moment on conspire once every month: they edit, polish, give their stamp of approval or throw away, try, listen, play again, plan, cooperate in songwriting and drink black coffee.
Stranger's lullaby, Grounded and Love is here are recorded.
Stephan is recording lead guitar, acoustic and electric, as well as solo's. After he's added keyboard to Liar and Paddy van Rijswijk has played his bass part, the song has become a gruesome beauty.
Afloat is asking attention for the decay of Cuba. For example, an economical boycott has forced children as well as professional musicians to use stripped telephone wire, as strings on their guitars and violins. Organizations like sendapiana.com are helping to change that situation.

April - May 2002
Singer Aggie and guitar player Stephan are both members of The Very Girls, touring the USA. During the tour the band jokes about the dubious quality of some songs heard all day long on the car radio, especially about the predictable words in the lyrics. Once back in The Netherlands again, Aggie starts writing down some lines about the pro's and cons of US American songs. A few chords on the guitar later, she has found a melody to accompany the words and Sky High, her first song is a fact. Songwriting turns out to be the very way to express herself.
